About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Dairy Department Lead at B. Green & Company, Inc. in Elkridge, MD.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized department, and performing various tasks to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly and assisting them with their needs.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform duties in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations related to the dairy operation.
  • Fully stock and rotate dairy merchandise according to company standards.
  • Unload and secure received product in refrigerated storage areas using proper equipment.
  • Stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts, which may exceed 8 hours.
  • Complete required department training programs.
  • Price items accurately using approved devices when required.
  • Ensure featured sale merchandise is attractively signed to stimulate sales.
  • Acknowledge deliveries to invoice documents and utilize the receiving log.
  • Block and face products according to company policy or assigned tasks.
  • Monitor refrigerated storage areas' temperatures and operating conditions, reporting any issues to the key person in charge.
  • Be knowledgeable about dairy products, including taste, preparation methods, and prices.
  • Maintain required communication within the department and company.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety requirements, and security standards.
