Practice Highlights and Qualifications
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team, including another cardiothoracic surgeon and three advanced practice providers proficient in endovenous vein harvesting.
  • Access to a CVICU, two heart surgery operating rooms, robust perfusion services, a dedicated hybrid operating room, and specialized EP and catheterization services.
  • Work alongside three cardiac anesthesiologists providing dedicated services.
  • The practice currently performs a range of procedures including coronary revascularization, valve repairs, and replacements, in addition to comprehensive thoracic surgeries. Advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs include TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, robotic thoracic surgery, aortic surgery, and ECMO.
  • Experience with aortic disease management, valve repair, and replacement, including both open and endovascular aortic procedures.
  • Familiarity with TAVR and minimally invasive lung surgery is preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced technologies aimed at reducing the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a growing interdisciplinary team, which includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, registered nurses, and critical care personnel, to achieve the highest quality outcomes.

This healthcare facility is a 323-bed institution with nearly 500 physicians on staff, part of a larger system that includes another 222-bed hospital and multiple freestanding emergency departments. The system encompasses an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, Wound Care Center, and Imaging Center, featuring a Level II Trauma Center and the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing a wide array of quality services, including orthopedic, cardiovascular, emergency, and neurological care, as well as robotic and weight loss surgery and rehabilitation services.
