Job Title: Safety Specialist

At GDC Technics Ltd, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration of our environmental, health, and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the removal of physical, biological, and chemical hazards
  • Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures, and to assist in identifying hazardous workplace conditions
  • Facility audits will include inspections of AED, Fire Extinguishers, Eyewash/showers, and Fall Protection equipment
  • Assist with the training of employees in safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and with the development and distribution of educational materials
  • Assist with conducting investigations into safety-related incidents
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience performing the safety function in an aviation or manufacturing environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with regulatory compliance under 29 CFR 1910
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field
  • CPR/First Aid
  • HAZWOPER
  • OSHA-30
Success Factors/Job Competencies:
  • Experienced with interpretation and application of federal regulation 29 CFR 1910
  • Understanding of Repair Station Operations
  • Strong organizational skills and able to analyze information and utilize problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using standard English
  • Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs
