We are seeking a highly skilled Historic Preservation Specialist to join our team at 347 Group, Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting archival research and preparing historic context, applying National Register criteria. They will also prepare architectural history components of NHPA and CEQA technical reports, document architectural resources on California DPR 523 records, and History American Building Survey (HABS) / Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) / Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation, Public History, Architecture, Architectural History or closely related field, with 1-2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have proficiency with Microsoft Suite, excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge of GIS, and previous field experience.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting archival research to support historical preservation efforts
  • Preparing historic context and applying National Register criteria
  • Documenting architectural resources and creating comprehensive reports
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions
Requirements
  • Master of Arts in Historic Preservation, Public History, Architecture, Architectural History or closely related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in historic preservation or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and GIS software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a generous benefits package including company-paid medical insurance, paid holidays, 401k, and paid time off (PTO). Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required.
