This position will be helping lead Holiday efforts by working across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, drive analysis, identify and implement measurable and non-disruptive changes, and share learnings with the team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant systems software engineering experience
  • BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience writing Java applications operating at large scale, retail experience a plus
  • Ability to conduct independent performance analysis (tools used, thread dumps, JVM analysis, etc.), capacity planning, and mitigations/tunings (i.e., caching, Tomcat, JVM, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering
  • DevOps background: complete ownership of end-to-end solution (i.e., software and infrastructure)
