Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Coxsackie, NY.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the surgical department. This includes conducting patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing and implementing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and complete physical examinations
  • Order and interpret medical laboratory test results
  • Diagnose medical conditions and administer medications or treatments
  • Perform minor surgery and complete accurate patient coding for effective billing
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts
  • Act as a mentor to new staff and/or physician assistant students
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Successful completion and maintenance of ACLS and BLS
  • Able to quickly master all aspects of a computerized medical recordkeeping and billing system
  • Must project a professional image and earn the confidence of others
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Must be HIPAA compliant at all times
