Senior Internal Auditor Job Description

We are partnering with a global organization to find a highly motivated and experienced Senior Internal Auditor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values work-life balance and offers a chance to grow within the Accounting and Finance department.

The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of financial controls, safeguarding assets, and ensuring transactions are authorized, processed, and recorded properly in accordance with all policies. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and lead projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurate completion of assigned work
  • Developing an understanding of the business and relationships across the business
  • Identifying critical control issues and recommending corrective actions
  • Assisting in preparing clear and concise audit programs and reports
  • Tracking audit metrics and assisting business process owners with control enhancements
  • Day-to-day execution of financial and operational audits
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting required
  • CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting and Internal Audit
  • Strong financial and internal control background
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Team player with strong communication skills
