Job Summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Substation and Protection & Controls Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation and protection and controls systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and implement substation and protection and controls designs for high voltage substation projects up to 500kV.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and staff on substation and protection and controls design principles and practices.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor junior engineers and staff to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Certification: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with reciprocity in multiple states.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in substation and protection and controls engineering, with a focus on high voltage substation projects.
