Marketing Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team at ITW. As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including new product development, market research, and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Global Product Manager in developing and implementing product line strategies and tactics.
• Monitor and analyze competitive activity, customer, and market trends.
• Provide actionable insights to guide the marketing and/or sales teams.
• Contribute to the development of sales and marketing plans and objectives.
• Forecast demand, revenue, and expenses.
• Determine sales potential and make recommendations.
• Assist in highly visible projects with direct impact to current processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with account managers to analyze and provide recommendations on customer data.
• Effectively collect and synthesize market insights.
• Lead and communicate strategic competitive analysis and marketing assessment.

Requirements

• A rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to make logical and sound decisions and ability to know when to act independently and when to seek assistance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Actively identifying new areas for learning and applying newly gained knowledge/skill on the job.
• Driven to succeed and willing to go the extra mile.
• Ability to work collaboratively and partner well with others, express oneself verbally and in writing, and listen well.

Working Conditions and Requirements

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Limited physical effort required. Frequent sitting and standing.
• Limited exposure to physical risk. Some manufacturing plant exposures to machinery and flammable substances. Requires provided PPE (safety shoes and glasses) in plant areas.
