As a Senior Financial Controls Specialist at SLSCO, you will play a critical role in managing cash flow reporting, budget tracking, overhead invoicing, and creating detailed financial reports for a high-profile construction project in New York City.

\

Responsibilities:

  2. Manage and report on project cash flow to ensure timely payments and prevent financial discrepancies.\
  3. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to align with project milestones and expenditures.\
  4. Monitor and track incoming and outgoing cash transactions related to the project, ensuring accurate account reconciliations.\
  5. Analyze and identify budget variances, collaborating with project teams to resolve discrepancies.\
  6. Prepare and distribute financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting project financial status, cash flow, and overheads.\
  7. Assist in updating project forecasts based on changes in scope, timeline, or cost drivers.\
  8. Review and process overhead invoices, ensuring accurate allocation to the project.\
  9. Monitor indirect costs and track overhead expenses accurately.\
  10. Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to validate vendor and subcontractor invoices.\
  11. Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risk.\
  12. Support internal auditors and regulatory bodies with project financial data.\
  13. Act as a key financial liaison between project teams, finance departments, and external stakeholders.\
  14. Communicate financial status and control issues with project managers, external clients, and senior leadership.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.\
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in financial controls, project accounting, or cash management, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.\
  • Advanced Excel skills.\
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and project accounting principles.\
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.\
  • Prior experience with large-scale construction projects in New York City or similar metropolitan areas.\
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory standards in the construction industry.\

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per annum.
