Position Overview

As a Loan Officer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that loan files meet underwriting criteria and are complete for submission. You will engage with borrowers and mortgage brokers to gather essential documentation and facilitate communication between origination teams, underwriters, and clients. An active MLO License is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor critical transaction timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure timely follow-up on loan applications.
  • Manage databases for clients and referral partners effectively.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding loan application and locked status to provide exceptional service.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to file processing and underwriting.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of loan applications along with necessary documentation.
  • Develop, track, and distribute marketing materials.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by Guild Mortgage Company or the Managing Loan Officer.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Marketing initiatives and database management.
  • Collecting and processing loan applications, disclosures, and supporting documents from clients.
  • Supporting the production and underwriting phases of the loan process.
  • Managing client interactions regarding loan status, rates, and qualification issues.
  • Acting as the primary contact for clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the loan process.
  • Gathering accurate information for the loan application.
  • Evaluating clients' credit and financial situations to recommend suitable loan products.
  • Pricing loans and communicating relevant fees to the operations team.
  • Providing initial disclosures to clients in compliance with regulations.
  • Collecting necessary documentation from clients.
  • Discussing loan product features with clients.
  • Submitting complete loan applications for processing.
  • Reviewing closing documents to ensure consistency with client commitments.
  • Engaging in marketing efforts to generate leads and loan production.
Experience Levels:
LOA Level 1: 2 - 5 years of experience
LOA Level 2: 5+ years of experience
