We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at MyMichigan Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch sports medicine care to our patients, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Injury Prevention and Treatment: Assess, treat, and prevent athletic injuries for our patients, including practice and game coverage.
- Rehabilitation and Conditioning: Develop and implement rehabilitation and conditioning programs to help patients recover from injuries and improve their overall athletic performance.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare teams on sports medicine topics, including injury prevention and treatment.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and current certification as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Michigan.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience working in a sports medicine clinic or university setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stress, trauma, and grief. The successful candidate will be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
