The Finance Systems Administrator and Hyperion Specialist will provide expert guidance to the Hyperion and SAP RTR team in support and development initiatives that align with Information Technology Application strategies within the Financial Planning, Analysis, and Consolidations domain.
This role encompasses responsibilities in the IT ERP Applications department, emphasizing financial analysis and the administration of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system. Ideal candidates will possess 8-10 years of experience in finance operations or managing finance/HFM systems. The successful individual will facilitate financial reporting, system upkeep, and ongoing enhancement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Lead global financial system projects to successful completion, collaborating with relevant process owners.
- Engage with business stakeholders to refine business processes and propose effective solutions.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and support of IT initiatives utilizing the Hyperion application suite.
- Administer and maintain the HFM system, including user access control, system configuration, and security protocols.
- Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
- Provide daily support to users: resolving incidents, assisting users, and managing escalations.
- Assist with closing activities as defined in collaboration with finance.
- Develop and test IT modifications in accordance with change management procedures.
- Create and maintain HFM reports and data forms to fulfill business requirements.
- Establish and implement a global training program for Hyperion systems.
- Contribute to finance and IT projects, offering support for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Assist in the design and testing of changes and enhancements to the HFM system.
- Document system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure continuity of knowledge.
- Deliver new projects based on IT specifications prepared with business analysts.
- Manage budget and cost tracking for all Hyperion, SAP FI, and Oracle IT activities.
- Understand and prepare release changes, analyzing and proposing improvements to the business.
- Oversee external suppliers: Hyperion, SAP, Blackline, and other AMS partners.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and system improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about the latest HFM functionalities and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their proficiency and utilization of the HFM system.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field. CPA preferred.
- 5-6 years of experience in finance operations or managing finance/HFM systems.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with HFM system administration and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be necessary.
- Work Environment: This position typically operates in a hybrid model.
