We are seeking a skilled Chief Nursing Officer to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer a comprehensive system of care with over 16 hospitals and 250 sites of care across Tennessee.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nursing culture that delivers exceptional patient, provider, and associate experiences. This will involve building strong physician and staff relations, focusing on associate engagement and retention, and collaborating with leadership to develop new patient care programs.
- Create a collaborative, decisive, and accountable nursing culture that prioritizes quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
- Become visible and engaged with physicians and staff, establishing trust and credibility through regular communication and feedback.
- Develop and implement initiatives to reduce turnover and increase retention among nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Work closely with Ascension leadership and medical staff to identify and develop innovative patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in nursing, with 2 years of leadership or management experience. A Master's degree is required, and Nurse Executive certification from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred.
