Woodlands Village is seeking a highly motivated Community Director of Lifestyle and Engagement to join our team. This role offers a rewarding career, competitive salary, and opportunities for growth and development.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description

The Community Director of Lifestyle and Engagement will be responsible for developing and overseeing resident services that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This includes planning and coordinating opportunities for residents, such as lifestyle programs, holiday celebrations, and special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement resident service plans that cater to diverse interests and needs.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct lifestyle programs that provide opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Coordinate holiday celebrations and special events that bring the community together.
  • Recruit and develop additional resources to support resident services, including volunteers and community partnerships.
  • Advise and motivate residents regarding individual and group activities that promote personal growth and development.
  • Prepare and organize a calendar of events, submit it for approval, and post it for resident awareness.
  • Develop and produce a community newsletter that highlights upcoming events and resident achievements.
  • Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies within budgetary guidelines.
  • Organize and supervise a volunteer staff to support resident services.
  • Design and facilitate daily displays of activities on bulletin boards and kiosks in resident areas.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, or Adult Education.
  • Three to five years of related experience, with two years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and inspiring others.
