Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assembly Line Control (ALC) Analyst. This role is pivotal in managing the Overall Global Assembly Line Control (GALC) System, which monitors each vehicle from the moment it enters our order system until it reaches our customer through Toyota Logistics Services (TLS). The primary objective is to ensure a seamless vehicle flow from initiation to completion, minimizing disruptions to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate coordination meetings across all manufacturing sectors to identify and address any irregular vehicle flow, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Utilize visual aids to convey current conditions and future action plans during meetings with management teams, including senior leadership.
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies in production instructions or specifications generated by the ALC Specialist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing (minimum of 2 years).
- At least 1 year of experience in cross-functional coordination within a dynamic environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Fundamental understanding of Toyota Production System (TPS) principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office, with experience in data analysis involving complex datasets.
- Strong ability to comprehend intricate computer systems and analyze data effectively.
- Capable of managing inventory levels across various manufacturing shops through GALC system analysis and continuous communication.
- Quick decision-making skills in productivity-related scenarios, often under time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with all management levels to ensure timely production targets are met.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at the G/L or Analyst level within a manufacturing context, particularly related to Toyota.
- Background in vehicle manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing shop (Body Weld, Paint, Assembly).
- Experience in Production Control within a high-volume production environment (1+ years).
- A background in mathematics, either as a minor or major.
- Logistics experience in an automobile plant (1+ years) is advantageous.
