Job Title: LPN Nurse

A non-exempt position responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care under the supervision of physicians and clinical services managers. Key responsibilities include performing basic clinical tasks, such as vital signs, routine blood draws, immunizations, injections, point-of-care testing, and EKGs, while ensuring care is consistent with Inspira Health Network policies and external regulations.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
  • Minimum one year of LPN experience; clinical experience required.
  • Experience in a medical practice environment strongly preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
  • State-licensed practical nurse.
  • American Heart Healthcare Provider CP.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Able to operate multi-line phone systems, update and modify EMR records on computers, understand medical charting, and operate stethoscopes, echocardiography (EKG) machines, ear-washing instruments, blood pressure cuffs, speculums, and other nursing items.
  • May involve use of walkers, wheelchairs, pulse oximetry, and oxygen tanks.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions. Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment. Understanding of basic laboratory procedures, including preparation and screening.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control and safety standards.
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in performing blood draws.
