Position Overview
The Biomedical Imaging and Data Science Lab (BIDSLab), led by Dr. Joyita Dutta within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, is in search of a dedicated postdoctoral researcher holding a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research projects focused on signal processing and artificial intelligence (AI) aimed at advancing medical image enhancement, brain network analysis, and personal health monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze multimodal medical datasets, including images, graphs, and time series, to develop interpretable AI models that contribute to understanding human health and disease.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary research initiatives, partnering with clinicians and scientists from both academic and industrial sectors.
- Provide mentorship and support to graduate students within BIDSLab.
- Publish original research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
- Contribute to the overall objectives of BIDSLab and the Biomedical Engineering department through various assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- A completed Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Expertise in Python and MATLAB, along with experience in one or more deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- A strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Excellent mathematical, programming, and communication skills.
