We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assist healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in a consultative setting.
- Administer injections and perform venipunctures as required.
- Prepare and organize medical tools and equipment for examinations and procedures.
- Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and information into medical records.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Educate and advise patients on health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
- Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor their recovery and ensure their satisfaction.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest medical practices and regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a focus on administering injections.
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proficiency in medical procedures and terminology, particularly regarding injections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and medical staff.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
