GIS Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team in Wall, NJ. As a valued member of our organization, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of geospatial data and databases.

The successful candidate will assist in the creation of maps, map books, and the setup of web mapping applications to facilitate field data collection. You will also be required to complete field data collection with GPS devices and manage multiple competing demands, prioritizing deliverables based on importance and need.

• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret geospatial data from various sources, including remote sensing, field surveys, and public datasets.
• Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making processes and generate reports.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain spatial databases and data management systems.
• Map Design and Production: Design and produce high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations to communicate findings and trends.
• Web Mapping Applications: Create interactive web maps and dashboards for internal stakeholders or clients.
• GIS Software Proficiency: Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo) to process and analyze spatial data.
• Programming Skills: Develop and automate GIS workflows using programming languages such as Python or SQL.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments (e.g., planning, engineering, environmental) to support project needs.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to convey GIS findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
