Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at SERVPRO of North Tempe. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Establish a strong relationship with customers to understand their construction needs and provide personalized service.
    • Educate customers on the construction process and ensure that they are informed throughout the project.
    • Work with customers to understand their desired upgrades and changes, and ensure that estimates meet their requirements.
  • Project Initiation:
    • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project to provide accurate estimates.
    • Create a detailed scope of work for construction projects, including sketches and initial estimates.
    • Deliver consistent and well-defined initial estimates to customers.
    • Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades, and work with the Project Manager to price bid items, if necessary.
  • Project Planning:
    • Identify and document the finalized project scope of work, including all necessary details.
    • Work with outside resources, such as structural engineers and inspectors, to complete accurate estimates.
    • Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates, including all necessary documentation.
    • Deliver and communicate estimates to the Project Manager.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of previous construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience.
  • Superb customer service track record, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to customers.
  • Advanced math skills, with the ability to analyze data and provide accurate estimates.
  • Proficient use of Xactimate estimating software.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project constraints.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Walking and/or standing throughout the day, with frequent driving and sitting.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders, with exposure to extreme conditions such as heat.
  • Loud noise levels in the work environment and job sites.

Working Hours and Travel Requirements:

  • Full-time position, working 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, 45 hours per week.
  • Frequent long hours, working on-call, and weekend work.
  • Travel required, primarily local, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected.

Pay Rate:

Competitive pay rate, with the possibility of bonus pay and increases based on merit.
