Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Plasma Center Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our donors, ensuring their safety and well-being, and contributing to the success of our plasma collection center.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceptional Customer Service: Greet and interact with donors, answer their questions, and ensure their needs are met.
- Medical History Records: Screen new and repeat donors, take and record vital signs, and maintain accurate records.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the donor experience.
- Supportive Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and professional work environment, attend team meetings, and problem-solve together.
- Phlebotomy: Learn to operate and maintain state-of-the-art plasmapheresis machines, ensuring the safety of donors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Due to potential exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in food service, retail, hospital, lab, or a regulated environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced workplace
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive starting hourly wage of $16.00, and eligibility for short-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits.
