Job Description

Job Summary:

The Goddard School of North Aurora (Batavia), IL is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Education Professional to join our team as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment for our young students.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Maintain a Safe and Healthy Learning Environment: Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our students by creating a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Support Social and Emotional Development: Foster social and emotional growth in our students by providing a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Establish Positive Family Relations: Build strong relationships with our students' families by maintaining open communication and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and Faculty: Work closely with the lead teacher and other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Early Childhood Education Background: A background in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrate empathy and compassion for young children and their families.
  • Dependability and Adaptability: Be dependable and adaptable, with a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
