Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at McCormack Baron Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance-related repairs in various areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting, to ensure our properties are well-maintained and safe for residents.
  • Team Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of maintenance, janitorial, and grounds staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor vendor performance and compliance to ensure high-quality services and cost-effectiveness.
  • Budgeting and Inventory: Assist in the development of budgets and maintain inventory levels of parts and equipment to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and control expenses to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor maintenance operating procedures and performance standards to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Customer Service: Act as a liaison for Property Manager and/or Area Manager with respect to resident complaints and provide exceptional customer service to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: HVAC certification required; experience working at an apartment community in the maintenance field; dependability and reliability in following through with responsibilities.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; valid state driver's license and current insurance required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships; thoroughness, self-motivation, and organization when accomplishing tasks.
