Conveniently located near public transportation, the Virginia Square campus is a hub for training, meetings, and corporate events.

As the Conference Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the FDIC Training Center team in Arlington, VA. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all special event requests, collaborating closely with the Senior Conference Planning Manager, Executive Chef, and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure all client needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all facets of assigned bookings, including AV requirements, room configurations, catering, meeting materials, rentals, billing, and parking logistics.
  • Review banquet event orders to confirm that all information is current and accurate.
  • Conduct inspections of meeting and classroom setups to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Notify relevant departments of any discrepancies during room inspections, ensuring all necessary items are accounted for.
  • Coordinate refreshment services and modifications to meeting rooms with the appropriate operational teams.
  • Engage with clients to verify setup accuracy and address any last-minute adjustments throughout the event.
  • Ensure prompt responses to all client and participant requests within a fifteen-minute timeframe.
  • Perform weekly walkthroughs of all meeting spaces to identify maintenance needs and other requirements.
  • Participate in weekly and daily BEO meetings to discuss changes in upcoming programs or special events.
  • Maintain inventory levels for classroom support materials.
  • Uphold the reputation of Aramark and the Conference Center through professional representation.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among team members.
  • Exercise sound judgment and fairness in all decision-making processes.
  • Oversee the management of corporate meetings, university programs, and social business events as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Conference Services Director.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of management experience in conference or event services.
  • Proficiency in CVENT, WebEx, MS Teams, and various virtual meeting platforms is highly desirable.
  • Certification as a Meeting Planner or Certified Government Meeting Planner is preferred.
  • Ability to meet the client's employment conditions.
Educational Background

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
