This is a highly challenging opportunity for an experienced bridge inspection professional to join our team as a Senior Bridge Evaluation Engineer. You will play a crucial role in assisting our senior staff with business development and winning bridge and tunnel inspection and repair work for CDOT and other transportation agencies.
As a Senior Bridge Evaluation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing independent and comprehensive evaluations of the condition, function, and load-carrying capacity of structures and their individual components. These evaluations may form the basis of recommendations to facility owners for repair, rehabilitation, or replacement.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and perform CDOT bridge inspections in accordance with specific Bridge Owners' requirements, while ensuring compliance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and the AASHTO Manual for Condition Evaluation of Bridges.
- Liaise with client field/facility staff, lead/assist with communicating critical condition findings.
- Direct other field team members, enforcing safe operations in the field.
- Create or assist with creating and/or reviewing all required inspection reports.
- Ensure technical compliance with all applicable standards and specifications.
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a highly experienced bridge inspection professional who possesses a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Your extensive experience in bridge inspection (NBIS) with CDOT and other transportation clients will serve as a valuable asset to our team. Additionally, your Project Manager/Team Leader experience in CO and other states will enable you to effectively manage bridge inspection projects for CDOT. It is essential that you possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills, as well as self-leadership abilities, with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
