Job Title: Cosmetology Instructor

Reports to: Principal

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cosmetology Instructor to join our team at La Joya ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the art and science of cosmetology, while promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist
  • Current cosmetology instructor's license issued by TDLR
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in Trade & Industrial Ed

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with occasional prolonged hours and regular physical demands.
