We are looking for a committed Medical Technologist Generalist to become part of our Blood Bank and Core Laboratory team. In this role, you will be tasked with performing a wide range of diagnostic tests, ensuring the proper functioning of laboratory equipment, and delivering critical support to our patients. This position provides a unique opportunity to work within a prestigious academic healthcare institution and make a significant impact on community health.
Position Overview:
- Conduct and interpret patient test results
- Manage inventory and laboratory supplies
- Offer technical support to healthcare providers
- Utilize laboratory instruments effectively
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Accurately document and process laboratory data
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related discipline
- MT (ASCP) certification or an equivalent credential
Desirable Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of pertinent laboratory experience
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems
- Capability to operate both automated and manual laboratory equipment
Position Details:
- Job Type/FTE: PRN (0.10)
- Shift: Rotating Shifts - Required every other weekend on 3rd shift
- Unit/Department: Blood Bank/Core Lab
- CBA Code: Non-Union
