Position Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a dedicated professional to engage on-site with our client as a Senior Project Execution Manager. This role will act as a key technical authority for Enterprise Risk Projects, assisting Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects that are high-quality, timely, and budget-conscious. The Senior Project Execution Manager will utilize their knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory standards to critically assess execution strategies and confirm project readiness. The ultimate goal is to enhance project timelines, decrease expenses, and mitigate risks by effectively leveraging their expertise to optimize project outcomes. This is a full-time role located in Richland, WA.

Compensation: $112.06 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of essential project documentation to identify opportunities for refinement and resource allocation to enhance schedule performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Identify and rectify errors or misconceptions during iterative reviews to ensure successful project implementation, focusing on key documents such as Project Schedules, Implementation Methods, Risk Registers, and Work Orders.
  • Validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with the assigned scope before field activities, ensuring compliance with established work management processes.
  • Review and enhance testing and acceptance plans, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Identify processes that would benefit from mock-ups and provide guidance on their effectiveness.
  • Share personal Operating Experience and identify relevant industry experiences to inform project activities and develop response strategies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant codes, standards, innovative technologies, and industry trends related to Enterprise Risk Projects.
  • Provide timely and honest feedback to Project Managers and Department Management regarding project strategies and implementation plans.
  • Oversee shop or field activities as needed, ensuring adherence to approved project strategies.
  • Coordinate resources and collaborate with vendors to eliminate roadblocks.
  • Participate in key strategy meetings with Project Managers as required.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field or business with 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree with 14 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 16 years of experience in similar environments.
  • Proficient in Enterprise Management Software (e.g., Asset Suite, SAP).
  • Familiarity with logic-driven schedules (Primavera, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements related to maintenance and field work.
  • Experience in error reduction and human performance improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and proven construction management experience.
  • Experience with multiple refueling outages at commercial nuclear power plants.
  • Familiarity with steam systems and ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels.
  • Certifications in mechanical disciplines or project management are preferred.
