Job Title: Behavior Consultant

Join our team at Dream Big Children's Center as a Behavior Consultant, where you will play a vital role in providing clinical oversight and supervision to our team of behavior therapists.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavior Consultant to join our team. As a Behavior Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of cases, supervising and training behavior therapists, and working collaboratively with parents and families to develop a therapeutic alliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Develop treatment plans specific to each individual's needs, emphasizing the principles of naturalistic ABA under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Guide behavior therapists in the implementation of treatment plans using coaching, modeling, and reinforcement strategies
  • Mentor and help develop behavior therapists to implement ABA effectively
  • Collaborate with parents and families to integrate ABA strategies into their everyday lives
  • Analyze data and monitor progress on a weekly basis, presenting data and discussing the child's progress with the BCBA
  • Write progress reports as required by funding sources
  • Meet with the behavior analyst on a weekly basis to review client progress and therapist performance
  • Collaborate with the clinical team during team meetings
  • Attend and participate in ongoing trainings and meetings as scheduled
  • Log all hours worked, obtain signatures from authorized guardians, and submit timesheets on time
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in clients' homes, schools, and daycares. We strive to create a comfortable work environment, but some conditions may be beyond our control. If you are not comfortable in a particular environment, you may request to be transferred to another client.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 10 pounds, as well as standing, walking, running, squatting, bending over, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Enrolled in a graduate program recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or certified as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
  • At least two years of experience in providing Applied Behavior Analysis services to children with autism
  • Complete TB test and livescan clearance
