Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, the successful candidate will perform comprehensive assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. This role will also involve providing diagnostic services, remedial instruction, counseling, behavior intervention services, and consultation services for students and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
  • Develop and implement IEPs that meet students' unique needs
  • Provide diagnostic services to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges
  • Offer remedial instruction to support students' academic and social development
  • Provide counseling services to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to support students' positive behavior
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide consultation services and support
Requirements
  • California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a school psychologist
