Job Title: Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Regional Health Services of Howard County. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of microscopic, chemical, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing in serology, hematology, chemistry, and microbiology.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative procedures in accordance with written requisition of physician.
  • Maintain laboratory stock and prepare solutions, reagents, and stains.
  • Collect specimens from patients and keep detailed records of all tests performed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science required.
  • MT or MLT certification highly encouraged.
  • Previous lab experience preferred.
  • BLS (CPR) certification required.

Working Conditions:

This is a PRN position with varied hours every 2 weeks. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
