As integral members of the Senior Staff, Educators are expected to uphold high standards of service delivery and professional conduct. They will set exemplary standards for staff members across all professional domains and are anticipated to provide effective leadership within their classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives for each student and participate in meetings as schedule permits.
  • Accurately record data and chart individual student progress.
  • Create and modify lesson plans to enhance the curriculum.
  • Implement designated teaching methodologies as required.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
  • Monitor student behavior consistently.
  • Execute behavior plans and utilize approved behavioral strategies.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.
  • Directly supervise classroom assistants and aides.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for classroom assistants and aides.
  • Oversee and instruct classroom assistants and aides in curriculum and behavioral techniques.
  • Perform assigned administrative tasks.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized classroom environment.
  • Adhere to the dress code as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of performing non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection of potentially aggressive students during crisis situations. Quick reflexes and mobility are essential to ensure student safety.
