Position Overview:
The Associate Baseball Coach at Oakland University plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head Coach in the establishment and enhancement of a competitive NCAA Division I baseball program aimed at student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or a comparable mix of education and experience.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in collegiate head or assistant baseball coaching.
- Exhibit a proven track record in attracting elite Division I student-athletes.
- Demonstrate familiarity with NCAA Division I regulations and guidelines.
- Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Participate in fundraising initiatives and events.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- While all qualifications are preferred, equivalent qualifications may be taken into account.
Role Purpose:
The Associate Coach is tasked with aiding in the training and development of the baseball team, both on the field and in academic pursuits. This role includes acting as a liaison between the team and academic departments, as well as assisting with logistical arrangements for travel and equipment procurement.
