Concrete Plant Support Specialist

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep, including the removal of debris generated during production processes. Vigilantly monitor production equipment for potential hazards and address them promptly.

Maintain dust control measures and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, upholding facility standards to prevent violations and penalties from regulatory agencies.

Engage in landscaping activities such as mowing, weed trimming, weed management, shrub removal, and raking.

Conduct housekeeping duties, including replenishing consumable supplies and managing waste disposal. Execute painting tasks as required.

Operate heavy machinery, including bobcats, forklifts, and loaders, as necessary.

Carry out routine safety inspections to identify and mitigate hazards within the facility.

Assist in the completion of plant inspections and maintenance tasks.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work outdoors independently while performing physical labor.

Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and landscaping equipment.

Capability to prioritize daily tasks effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a plant environment is preferred.

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Minimal travel, less than 10%, as necessary.

COMPENSATION
Starting wage of $18.00 and above.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.


While executing the responsibilities of this role, the employee will regularly work outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.

Employees will frequently stand, walk, and utilize fine and gross motor skills, as well as visual acuity for near and far distances.


Employees may need to climb, kneel, bend, reach, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 20 lbs, push, pull, and demonstrate manual dexterity.

Exposure to loud environments, heavy machinery, moving equipment, and various materials is expected.

Required personal protective equipment includes safety footwear, vests, eyewear, hearing protection, and hard hats. Additional PPE may be necessary for specialized tasks such as welding or repairs.
