As the Responsible Minerals and Human Rights Compliance Regulatory Lead, you will play a critical role in advancing our Responsible Minerals Program strategy, executing key initiatives across Alphabet and Google, and managing conflict minerals, anti-modern slavery, and human rights compliance and regulatory reporting obligations.
You will work closely with a cross-functional set of stakeholders across Alphabet, including teams embedded in product areas responsible for operationalizing supplier responsibility and responsible minerals program efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the responsible minerals program, coordinating with various teams to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Manage annual scoping for conflict minerals regulations and publish reports that provide transparency and accountability.
- Manage scoping for anti-modern slavery/human rights laws and publish disclosures that demonstrate our commitment to ethical business practices.
- Conduct risk reviews and lead processes for the responsible minerals program to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Align program requirements with teams to ensure compliance and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of human rights, supplier responsibility, and responsible minerals regulations and best practices, with experience in publishing related reports.
- Ability to motivate and work with diverse teams, influencing executive leadership, and collaborating effectively across different departments.
- Ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders and publishing regulatory reports requiring cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to adapt and grow in a constantly evolving environment and deliver high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to use data to improve processes and operations.
- Excellent program management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to drive change and influence others without direct authority.
