Role Overview
The Manager of Patient Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our specialty pharmacy and medication adherence model. This position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional people management skills, ready to take on challenges in a rapidly growing specialty pharmacy management environment.

Key Responsibilities
As the Manager of Patient Services, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacy liaisons in specialty clinics, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient experiences.
  • Coach and develop your team while promoting the Shields culture at partner health system sites.
  • Provide ongoing performance coaching, feedback, and training to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Facilitate effective communication among liaison teams, Shields functional groups, pharmacy, and clinic personnel.
  • Meet or exceed operational targets related to clinic service, growth, and patient satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to drive growth and efficiency at health system partners.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clinic leadership and pharmacy teams.
  • Ensure high partner satisfaction by effectively communicating the value of Shields' operations.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to implement strategic growth initiatives.
  • Provide performance updates to Shields leadership.
  • Ensure accountability and adherence to best practices for critical responsibilities such as prior authorizations and patient outreach.
  • Identify issues within clinics and develop actionable plans for performance improvement.
  • Work closely with the data analytics team to capitalize on identified opportunities.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting with direct patient interaction.
  • National Certification as a CPhT (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage performance against quantitative metrics.
  • A patient-centered approach, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
