Conductor Trainee

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Conductor Trainee to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Conductor Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight across our vast network.

• Manage train operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Conduct daily inspections of trains and equipment to identify any issues or problems.
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing and ensure safe passage.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless train operations.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.

• Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• At least 18 years of age or will be by the start date.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.
• Able to work safely in diverse and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to learn to identify, interpret, and use hand signals from near and far.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and see at night.
• Ability to use hands and use hand tools to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning, and pulling.
• Ability to climb ladders and get on/off equipment.
• Ability to work at various heights above the ground.
• Ability to bend, lift, walk, and stand occasionally with breaks.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
