Job Description

As a Sales Engineer at Kyocera, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by maintaining exceptional relationships with customers, creating and supporting development activities within assigned customer bases, and facilitating contract negotiations, customer complaint resolution, and other business-to-business reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of highly technical products and their applications in various industries.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase business and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including regular communication, issue resolution, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to address customer needs and drive business results.
  • Manage and report on account activity, including order tracking, scheduling, logistics planning, and on-time delivery reporting.
  • Stay current on market trends and applications for new products and technologies.
  • Mentor and train associate sales engineers and sales administration staff, as needed.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Material Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the ceramics and materials industry.
  • Strong technical comprehension of drawings, materials, and engineering terms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
