Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At Sun Harbor Manor, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming residents, as well as assisting with daily living activities such as toileting, feeding, and transferring. You will also be responsible for monitoring residents' vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming residents
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, feeding, and transferring
  • Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies
  • Assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents as needed
  • Document resident care and progress in the medical record
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and develop care plans
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New York
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Environment:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work in a long-term care facility, providing care to residents in a variety of settings, including private rooms and shared living areas. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
