Job Summary

The Payroll Manager is a key member of the Tremco Incorporated team, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the payroll and benefits function for the US businesses. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining payroll records.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and process payroll for all employees in the United States, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Manage disbursement of funds for the net payroll, payroll taxes, and other related items, such as garnishments.
Review and approve payroll transactions, reconcile payroll accounts, and handle special pay runs for bonuses, commissions, and other payments as needed.
Manage the annual year-end W-2 reconciliation process, ensuring complete accuracy and timeliness.
Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws, ensuring compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements.
Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports as required, establishing and maintaining payroll controls and payroll-related procedures for SOX compliance.
Manage payroll tax liabilities, ensure accurate and timely filing of all payroll-related taxes, and maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, earnings, deductions, and tax information.
Generate payroll reports for management, internal and external auditors, and ensure that vacation accruals are accurately recorded in the company's financial statements based on the relevant company policy.

Benefits

Prepare standard benefit rates for application at the divisions, assist with forecasting of benefit costs, and ensure benefit accounts are properly reconciled.
Provide weekly benefit expense forecasts, ensuring compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four or five-year college or university or equivalent experience.
More than 7 years related experience and/or training, with proven experience as a Payroll Manager or a similar role, with at least 7 years of experience in payroll processing and compliance.
Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, knowledge of payroll tax regulations in multiple states within the United States, and experience with expatriate and foreign service payroll reporting, payments, and coordinating related issues with responsible human resources personnel.
Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing, experience with ADP payroll software and systems, and experience with SAP is preferred.
