Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will perform a wide range of responsible clerical and technical accounting tasks in support of assigned accounting systems, functions, or programs. This role involves maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, and providing administrative support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all facets of sales accounting, including billing and collections.
  • Reconcile supplier billing and hotel statements, and forward invoices for payment.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with accounts payable, including forwarding invoices, reconciliation, and follow-up.
  • Support month-end general ledger closing and prepare monthly reports for the state of Hawaii.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filling, fielding accounting calls, and opening and routing mail.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to five years' related experience and/or training.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) preferred.
  • Minimum of three years accounting experience.
  • Experience in a travel and tourism environment is preferred.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
