We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Program Coordinator to join our team at Turner Construction. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a critical role in assisting with the implementation and management of our sustainability programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the development and implementation of Turner's sustainability programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and national sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues related to sustainability rating systems and contractual obligations.
- Review and ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and sustainability rating systems.
- Collect and document best practices from improvement efforts across the organization.
- Participate in the development of sustainability elements of project budgets and change order management.
- Assist with submittals, shop drawings, and conflict resolution related to sustainability rating systems.
- Contribute to reports and communicate the status of sustainability programs.
- Participate in subcontractor trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, and submittal review meetings.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and a minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- LEED Professional Accreditation or related accreditation is desired or in pursuit of.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and timely documentation.
- Basic problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with lean concepts and continuous improvement methods and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and adapt to change.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and database applications.
