Job Summary

Logistics Coordinators are integral members of a team dedicated to providing exceptional service to customers requiring technician support. The primary responsibility of the Logistics Coordinator is to oversee the dispatch system, ensuring that orders and repair requests are accessible to technicians and that customer commitments are fulfilled. Coordinators collaborate with various departments to escalate urgent repairs, rectify orders and tickets, and resolve issues that may negatively affect our customers. Direct interaction with customers is essential to inform them of potential provisioning or troubleshooting issues, access arrangements, or other customer-impacting information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interprets, analyzes, schedules, dispatches, and routes available field personnel for the completion of both simple and complex orders/tickets.
  • Utilizes menu-driven computer graphic mapping systems to monitor service order appointments and repair ticket deadlines, coordinating and/or reallocating field personnel to avoid jeopardy situations.
  • Engages with technicians via phone and chat to address inquiries and provide information.
  • Creates and/or updates service orders and trouble tickets.
  • Adheres to all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Operates under direct supervision, informing the supervisor of any unusual conditions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to work varied hours/days as needed.
  • May be required to undertake additional duties and tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Basic keyboard skills, both alpha and numeric.
  • Able to operate a computer while engaging in conversation.
  • Fundamental understanding of dispatching techniques.
  • Proven ability to interpret maps effectively.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to various situations.
  • Capacity to multitask and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
