Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Pipefitter & Welder to join our team at Large HVAC Contractor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems, as well as performing welding tasks to ensure the highest quality of work.Responsibilities
  • Work with Foreman to complete piping tasks, using drawings, diagrams, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with coordination of pre-fabrication layout and installation, maintaining current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and county codes.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and Southeast Safety Program, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in maintaining rental and company-owned welding equipment, as well as layout work ahead of welders and prepare pipe and fittings for welding.
  • Work alongside welders to hold and position pipe/fittings to be welded, and assist with screens to protect others from flash burns.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in pipefitting and welding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve conflict professionally with the assistance of management.
  • Ability to read and understand CADD drawings and diagrams, blueprints, sketches, fabrication drawings, and submittals.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment and basic arithmetic skills, including calculating offsets.
  • Valid driver's license and access to transportation to drive to various job site locations.
