Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fuel Handler to join our team at East Energy Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the consistent fuel supply to the boilers, conducting daily equipment checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily equipment checks and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a consistent fuel supply to the boilers to ensure uninterrupted fuel delivery.
  • Report any abnormalities to the CRO and record issues on the Fuel Handler -Check Sheet and Heavy Equipment Inspection sheet.
  • Assist the CRO in onsite inspection and operation of plant systems and gain knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the next career progression level.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and acceptable manner and demonstrate a high performance, safety-focused, and achievement-oriented manner of working.
  • Ensure that assigned tools, equipment, and work area are properly maintained and secured.
  • Assist Mechanical Maintenance, I&C, and Operations as required time permitting.
  • Use Three-Way radio communication to ensure safe and reliable operation of the unit.

Shift Schedule:

DuPont schedule is a pattern in which four teams rotate between day and night shifts in a 4-week cycle to provide 24-hour shift coverage. Each team does a 12-hour shift and works an equal number of day and night shifts during the 28-day cycle.

Simply put, DuPont is a shift pattern that:

  • Provides 24/7 hour coverage.
  • Requires four teams.
  • Consists of 12-hour shifts (including day and night).
  • Has a 28-day rotation cycle.

Stage 1: Work four night shifts, then get three days off.

Stage 2: Work three day shifts, get one day off, then work three night shifts.

Stage 3: Get three days off followed by four day shifts.

Stage 4: Get seven days off.
