Manufacturing Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembler to join our team at Minco Products, Inc. in Fridley, Minnesota. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and inspecting high-quality products in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and weld products using precision techniques and equipment.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet our high standards.
- Work collaboratively with other assemblers, manufacturing technicians, and production supervisors to achieve production goals.
- Participate in our Continuous Improvement culture by suggesting ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Learn new skills and cross-train in other areas and product families to expand your knowledge and expertise.
- Complete assigned paperwork and enter information into the computer accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and report any quality issues or concerns to your lead, supervisor, or co-workers.
- Use tools, materials, and equipment safely and effectively, following safety and operational principles and practices.
- Train others on processes, equipment, and work instructions within your area.
- Adapt to changes and use feedback for improvement.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Read, write, and speak English at an 8th grade level or higher.
- Ability to pass an eye exam to meet Minco's requirements for Near and Color Vision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in welding, fine wire assembly, and lamination.
- Experience with potting chemicals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Continuous Improvement training or experience.
- Machine maintenance experience.
- J-Standard Certified.
Professional Skills Required:
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with employees and management.
- Strong experience responding to and resolving questions and concerns.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact.
