The dietetic technicians are instrumental in managing patient appointments, offering general nutritional education, and addressing food and medication interactions, particularly for patients from outside the local area.

Work Schedule:
This position typically operates Monday through Friday, during daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.

- Collect and evaluate food and nutrition intake data through patient interviews and medical records.
- Conduct low complexity nutrition education sessions for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in departmental training and development initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Professional Development:
Maintain a high level of expertise in nutrition trends and practices, engaging in ongoing education and training opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Required: Associate degree in Food, Nutrition, Health, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary; however, equivalent experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Certification: Must possess one of the following certifications:
- Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR)
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM).
