Position Overview: Responsible for conducting both inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, including Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Stress echocardiography. The role involves assessing the necessity of echo contrast agents such as Definity and Agitated Saline, alongside performing calculations and preparing detailed reports.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Sonography program.

Professional Experience:

  • Preferred: At least 1 year of relevant experience in the field.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Required: RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) from ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) from CCI, to be obtained within 6 months of starting the position.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Exempt position)

Compensation:

Hourly rate of $85.23, based on relevant experience and licensure. Note: Exempt positions at John Muir Health are listed hourly for compensation purposes. Weekly Hours: 32
