Job Title: Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer

Under the direct supervision of the site Physician, this role provides health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The successful candidate will produce images of heart muscle and functioning by setting-up ultrasound equipment, attaching electrodes to the chest and equipment, operating and adjusting equipment, recording cardiac and vascular data and measurements, and protecting and helping patients.

Education and Certifications:
  • Completion of Cardiac Sonography Program is required.
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification is required.
  • RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or RCS Adult Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification is required.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be able to type 60 WPM with minimum errors.
  • Proficient in adult Transthoracic, Echo, doppler analysis, Stress echocardiography, EKG, and Holter monitor hook-up, treadmills, arrhythmia recognition, and vascular studies.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Familiar with Cardiology PAC's and interpretation software.
  • Good organizational, grammatical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of ultrasound equipment.
Work Environment:

Work Shift: 08:00 - 08:30 - 17:00 No Waive (United States of America)

Compensation:

Pay Range: $66.27 - $89.47 Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word exempt on it.
